Dr Chaitra V

Dr. Chaitra V is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Pathology at Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Bengaluru. She holds an MD in Pathology from St. John’s Medical College and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Tumour Pathology from Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology. With over 12 years of experience, her areas of expertise include gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, endocrine, soft tissue, bone, and skin pathology, with a special interest in cytopathology.

Her professional journey spans academic and clinical roles, including a decade of teaching and diagnostic work at PSGIMSR, Coimbatore. She has actively contributed to NABL processes and postgraduate mentoring. Currently, she is involved in oncopathology diagnostics and multidisciplinary cancer care at Sri Shankara. She is a member of several national and regional pathology associations and has published around 30 peer-reviewed articles. Her future goals include enhancing diagnostic precision, publishing impactful research, and exploring AI applications in cytopathology.
